  • When Life Gives You Tangerines

    1. When Life Gives You Tangerines

    Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes

    10

Not a chance I'll rewatch this drama, at least not in the nearest future. I can't handle again all this crying, especially from the last installment.
What a beautiful family (and villagers) story. I think that anyone who has good relationship with his/her parents was feeling moved throughout the plot. It got better and better, and more emotional with each ep. The acting was marvelous, especially the older cast. Park Hae Joon and Moon So Ri were just spectacular. IU also deserves a separate shout out for portraying so well 2 different characters (I counted 3 boys she had to kiss lol)
p.s I liked Kim Seon Ho's former haircut and stache, he looked interesting with it and eye-catching. What an artist looks so basic? ;)

*A scene that brought you to tears. I was sure I'll take a scene from When Life Gives You Tangerines because this drama was full of tears. Then today I teared up a bit at ep 11 of The Manipulated, and got to the conclusion I'm just very emotional with dad-daughter duos and so I looked for IU x Park Hea Joon gif and cried for the I don't which time while looking at it, because I remembered how he always had her back and was looking after her. The feelings were as if I'm rewatching the whole drama again. So very talented the cast!

  • Dear X

    2. Dear X

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    10

I know many wanted him to be the one that exposes her but personally it didn't feel like any climax-on the contrary. I feel and know that by doing it he hurt himself even more. I like that we didn't get some character change from her, no redemption. Dramas love to do it near the end but a person with a psychiatric condition can't suddenly heal and transform. and it was super interesting to watch a whole drama that is centered on such an unlikable character. I thought it's the best drama of the year but the last few eps weren't  so good. Did Hong Jong Hyun's voice was always so high pitched? super annoying!
All the characters of the drama had some sort of mental issues, otherwise how can you explain the clingy behavior of the two guys towards her? It was as if Kim Young Dae always had tears in his eyes while talking to Kim Yoo Jung lol and unpopular opinion but I wouldn't blame her for what happened to In Hyeop. He's also in the club of mental illnesses. and why the hell can anyone just walk into each other's houses so easily? To his, to hers- even tho he's wealthy and she's a celebrity. So stupid lol
Funny anecdote: I've watched few months ago Walking on Thin Ice also with Bae Soo Bin (playing KYJ's father). He usually does bad roles and there he was suddenly okay. So I couldn't stop myself for screaming at the screen when I saw him here "classic BSB" lol some things never change. Though I think it's his worst role. He was a scumbag in Secret but at least he hasn't touched Hwang Jung Eum unlike here where he beat the crap out of KYJ. poor girl, I hope no one got hurt while filming.

*This character deserves a 2nd chance. More like 2nd chance in life! Jae Oh was so devoted to Ah Jin in Dear X. He gave his life for her, and I hope he could've lived till old age, maybe even with her - that happily ever after that Jun Seo wished him to. Even though I personally shipped her with Jun Seo till he decided he's g-d and needs to take her down with his own hands.

  • Resident Playbook

    3. Resident Playbook

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    10

I'm a sucker for Youn Jung, but I do understand the criticism about the drama being more about her life rather than overall about the life of residents. Also, even though I think it's mean to criticize that much a person's look, I also see where people who didn't like her love interest come from. Nevertheless, I liked them a lot together, they gave me butterflies and the fact that their family didn't found out till the end was hilarious. I'm still curious whether he liked her first, what do you think? ;)
I loved Hospital Playlist and I loved this one no less. Though the cameos at a certain point started to really bother me for taking too much screen time.
I think it was lovely to see their evolvement as doctors and how the professors started to appreciate them as well. I'm feeling sad we won't be able to continue watching them navigate through life.
And even though this, unlike the previous one, wasn't a musical drama, I think it has the best OST of the season. It's been few weeks since I completed the drama and TXT's song still No. 1 on my On Repeat on Spotify (and I'm not even a fan of the group). I also click play each time I get a short of the dance.
    p.s I'm proud I didn't rewatch it. yet ;)
p.s2 I identified the most with Sa Bi when she was upset her mom who's a doctor never attended any of her graduation ceremonies. It's hard to be a doctor's kid as job many times takes first place :/

Music Award: Best OST 2025. As a full album I liked the most the Ms.Incognito one. also Lia’s song in it reminds me a lot her song in Alchemy of Souls S2’s OST. But as just a song it’s obviously it’s the one that for weeks hasn’t moved from my On Repeat on Spotify and that is TXT When the Day Comes (number 9 in my top songs in 2025 ?). funny how the two songs I’ve mentioned are related to Go Youn Jung. It was a coincidence, I promise lol

  • Queen Mantis

    4. Queen Mantis

    Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    10

I’m a sucker for Go Hyun Jung. Watching this woman act is an honor. And the fact she gives such a tremendous performance, makes the actors around her to step up their game and also to deliver no less than extraordinary performance. Especially I applaud Jang Dong Yoon, whom I’ve seen in previous projects and although it felt he was a bit over dramatic here (in the screaming scenes), but still he was much better than I’ve seen him before.
Loved the drama and the fact that even in the last ep, they didn’t stop to surprise me and I think that’s the real definition of a good thriller.

*Star-Award: Best Acting Performance. I think it's easier to show your skills as a despicable character (and vice versa - to fall big time) and so I chose two villainesses, who were quite crazy and yet the actresses managed to deliver their unbelievable evil lines and gave such a performance that brought chills . So the best acting performance goes from me to
Yeom Jung Ah from The Defects and Go Hyun Jung from Queen Mantis (A 10/10 drama!)

  • Moon River

    5. Moon River

    Korean Drama - 2025, 14 episodes

    10

*The best and/or worst confession scene: I know I'm late in a day, I missed it tomorrow, was glued to Youtube catching up on old The Game Caterers eps lol and so I'll go with a recent drama for the keyword - Moon River I looked up the confession scene but couldn't find it, so you'll get the proposal scene instead. btw both the confession and the proposal were at the point where both were fully aware of the other's feeling yet it still felt very emotional and romantic! They have chemistry and are looking really great together!

*Chemistry-Award: Your favorite Drama Couple of the year! Kdrama

I’m happy they gave us 4 eps before the soul exchange part. It made us get to know the characters and get hooked with the love story. Great chemistry btw from main couple. Second couple the girl just can’t act. People said it already in The Impossible Heir but here it screamed so much more. She had only one expression no matter what was going on. Jin Goo as the villain made me angry but I’m not sure he was suited for the role, his acting to me was as well lacking.
It had it stereotypical moments like the dead woman revelation towards the end, which is used in many saguks. Also, when we’ll see finally in a historical drama (no matter the country) a woman FL, who isn’t a chef, feeding the ML tasty food she made? At this point it’s annoying already the recurrence of this scenes. It happened in 2 other Cdramas I was watching at the time.
Happy for Kang Tae Oh that he redeemed himself after the crap Potato Lab he did at the beginning of the year. He really rocked here the 2 characters and you could’ve notice when he’s who. Though in the last ep it felt like he inherited her personality, and why the heck Sejong kept the satoori if she regained her memories?
    Very suitable OST

  • Everlasting Longing

    6. Everlasting Longing

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 30 episodes

    9.5

They're lucky the FL is the beautiful Angelababy or I would've started with my usual rant about the age difference. I don't think they had some explosive chemistry but I liked them overall as a couple. She was the rational one and he's the emotional, till the very last sec of the drama. I even liked ML's looks here more than in Go Ahead. Maybe it was the long hair? lol I even would've made a GIF of him running after her in the red wedding attire. He looked the best in it!
What I hated the most was the fact they really pushed for a second couple, even gave them a theme song, which was awful because of two reasons. 2FL was a total b*tch and 2ML till his last breath (literally) had eyes only on Angelababy (but who can blame him? ;))
The third couple was adorable though!
Final thoughts: It was a very predictable drama with bad CGI but each day when I came home the first thing I did was to watch the new ep/s so that's why I rank it this high :)

*Chemistry-Award: Your favorite Drama Couple of the year! Cdrama

  • Buried Hearts

    7. Buried Hearts

    Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes

    9.5

When they announced how long the drama will be, I was happy that we will finally get a full length drama. Yet now, when I finally completed it (took me almost a month to watch the last 2 eps), I think it would've been better if the drama was shorter. What I loved the most about the drama was how dramatic and suspenseful it was, but this effect has drastically diminished closer to the end. This is a pity as I was planning to give it a perfect score even though they made a favorite actor of mine play such an evil character (and Huh Joon Ho has done it perfectly!).
The romance was great and a bit atypical for a kdrama with it's passionate scenes but those too had stopped very quickly. I think we all took the bait she was pregnant, they played us well lol

  • The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

    8. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

    Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    9.5

I wasn’t planning to like it as much as I did (as medical dramas are mostly big flops and only a small amount of them are actually good) and I’m super happy for Ju Ji Hoon that redeemed himself after the crap he did last year with Yumi. It’s interesting also how they debated whether he’s good looking or not, and IMO although he doesn’t have a beautiful face, he’s still very hot.
I liked that they showed us how a managerial role changes the way doctors behave, but also that they can get back to their original mindset and professionalism. And so I loved Yoon Gyun Ho’s role. Kim Won Hae on the other hand acted like a total douche and I think it’s the first time I hated his character.
I had to convince myself at first that 2ML wasn’t Beast’s Kikwang lol but doesn’t he look like a mixture of him and UKISS’s Junyoung? ;)
Some weird CGI but they somehow managed to make it look better eventually.

*Your absolute favorite character of the year (good or bad): I was divided between 2 guys but one of them stars in the drama I'm binging for the last week so I guess that's why I'm thrown straight to him. Therefore I'll go with my other pick and that is Prof. Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon) from The Trauma Code. I love how even though he's in a high position he's still humble and takes his job seriously and is a great mentor to his subordinates. These characteristics are relevant also to my 2nd pick which is General Feng Yun (Ryan Cheng) from The Female General. I'll give the pic position to the older one. Seniority is important lol

  • Our Unwritten Seoul

    9. Our Unwritten Seoul

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.5

It was a beautiful drama. Depressing, but beautiful. I didn't know at times with who I identify more, Miji, Mirae, Hosu. and I think the drama played a lot on the fact that to know you're not alone in your sorrow, is a way of comfort, even though I cried so much while watching the show lol.
I think Park Bo Young really needs to get an award for her performance. She portrayed the two characters so well and differently, than even I that know it's the same actress, managed to differentiate them. I like Jinyoung a lot but I was bummed her and Kyung Soo didn't get similar screen time. Their story was also adorable.
First time seeing Sun Young doing a good role. She's such a great actress. Overall it was really a family drama, that showed us with compassion the tangled and not easy relationships between few generations.
I loved how they filmed/edited the ending of each ep with that old camera. Very innovative :)

  • Would You Marry Me?

    10. Would You Marry Me?

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.5

I don't know why everyone is hating on this drama. I know it's a cliché one, and I'm biased since I love dearly Jung So Min (though this time around I didn't identify with her character in comparison to Love Next Door) but I truly enjoyed the drama! I think they were a beautiful couple and she dodged one hell of a bullet (that douchebag ex of hers and his terrible family didn't get an ounce of my sympathy even when he was bowling his eyes out). Many viewers were bothered by her and ML's childhood past, and I'm also not fond of stuff like that, but it was addressed shortly which I liked and I think ML would've cared about her even without it. He's a really big green flag.
What I didn't like is all the company's take over plot, especially when they take a dude who does mostly bad roles, people doubt him from day one. That smile was weird and I was alert, and as the story progressed he was reveled to be a worse and worse villain. and it was super weird (drama like) coincidence that out all the houses in the Korean community in LA, specifically in his, her sister was babysitting.
I liked the story of the second main leads as well, I think they were also cute together but it was stupid that suddenly in the last ep he stopped wearing glasses? He even wore them in Tastefully Yours so why taking them off? He can shred his butler image without worsening his well being and ability to see lol
btw I heard there was a biff between the main leads and so they didn't promote the drama. If it really as said, they are so professional cause you couldn't suspect it. Hope they made up though. I saw she at last posted pics of them together on her Instagram. Still it's not close to how it was with LND costar.

*A scene that made you burst out laughing! - The first that pops to mind is from a recent adorable drama I've completed. It  was full of comical moments but the CACTUS scene from ep 1 that gave Jung So Min's character this nickname was just hilarious (even on a second watch)

  • Squid Game Season 3

    11. Squid Game Season 3

    Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes

    9.0

Personally, I feel like it's getting better with each installment, or maybe it just grows on me and I become more acceptable of the story.
Yes I wished for a different ending, but that's what it is. I'm happy that at least one member survived this time too. I wasn't that fond of Wi Ha Joon's story in S2 and I'm not really sure it contributed a lot to the plot in S3 as well.
I saw the Korean critics about the pro life movement, and tbh it's not like someone reinvented the wheel. In real life as well, kids are being put top priority, whether you agree with that or not. But like them I also noticed the lack of women closer to the final and it bothered me too.

  • The Manipulated

    12. The Manipulated

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.0

I've seen Kwangsoo oppa doing bad characters but it's the first time I've hated him so much lol Also, I didn't know his fans are like those of idols. I just mentioned that I think Yang Dong Gun should be on the poster instead of LKS (who gave the cutie YDG this evil role? couldn't take his gangster vibe seriously) and I got screamed at and insulted on personal level. I swear sometimes this site doesn't feel like a "safe space".
Kyungoo on the other hand  seems to love this type of roles. I saw his maniac eyes in I Remember You already, and now again. I'll be traumetized eventually and won't be able to watch EXO stages. Wonder how fun was it working with your bestie though, or more specifically being mean on camera to your bestie ;)
IMO, the drama started being interesting when they were taken out of jail. I even started watching it on regular speed as it got so good. Ji Chang Wook with the black attire gave me Healer flashbacks (but I think he lost a lot of muscle with age. Or did he previously looked buff because of the sweaters?)
It was nice to see that there are good people that you meet along the way and become close like family. I guess Kyungsoo's character never felt it and so it was bizarre for him.

  • Head over Heels

    13. Head over Heels

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.0

Very week last two eps to an overall nice and interesting drama.
At first I voiced my disappointment that Young Woo chose a high school drama, as he's already in the big league, doing mature roles with an A-list cast. Between the amount of slander I received (even one asking me the stupid question - whether I want real high school students to do romantic scenes, when that's exactly what they're showing on screen T_T), one linked interview with him where he said he really wanted to make a coming of age drama  while he's still young. I personally think he just has a thing for portraying two characters at once lol but he did it well, and so did the FL.
I think it's probably the best portrayal I've seen of shamans. They did it very cleverly, and the people involved all contributed to the creation of this fascinating fictional world. Great friendships and family relations too!

  • Bon Appetit, Your Majesty

    14. Bon Appetit, Your Majesty

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.0

In Hana's previous drama's review, I wrote she needs to do some more 2FL roles before doing another FL role. But I didn't thought she'll be Yoona's 2FL. Yet I can say this is probably my favorite Yoona drama up to date.
First of all I love cooking (reality) shows. and with all the frenzy about Culinary Wars it was obvious they'll grab the momentum and use it for dramas too. but unlike the crap that was Tastefully Yours, here they provided a lot of practical culinary knowledge, which I loved.
Romance wise, except from the last 2 eps when suddenly she started giving words of affection, it felt like the ML was the only one who's in love. Not everything is Yoona's fault as it's more a script issue but she didn't provide also a loving performance. Maybe it's the age gap? Though TBH, unlike many other dramas, it didn't bother me as much.
There wasn’t a lot of logic in this drama, but early on I learned to stop looking for it and just enjoy the ride, even if it's full of clichés lol (def better then King the Land where the clichés were way over the top)
btw I was probably not the only one who knew from the first ep that the book was written by him, another time-travel drama cliché ;)

  • A Dream within a Dream

    15. A Dream within a Dream

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 40 episodes

    9.0

Liu Yu Ning was so pitiful most of the drama, but also cute lol and his FL’s character was definitely much better than the one of Prisoner of Beauty. At first the drama was so comically dramatic (I bet the actors had a blast filming it) and then it became much heavier. Towards the end I really fell for it and my rating skyrocketed. I think they had beautiful and smart dialogues and all the different stories were well made. I do admit I was upset for the destruction of character of the (looking as pretty as a girl) 2ML, but without it probably the story would’ve finished much earlier, esp without the scriptwriter interference. Loved that the evil step mom from The Glory was so nice here. Kind roles suit her better. ML’s brother was so idiot that till the end I was confused whether it’s all a scheme and he’ll turn out to be evil (How a prince can act this way?).
At the beginning of the drama, the music really bothered me, was so out of place, but I learned it was all intended as a satire on previous Hong Kong productions.
The ending was very very weird, nothing wouldn't have happened if it was the actor instead with no memories.

*An actor/actress you discovered for the first time this year- At first I wanted to mention Song Wei Long whom I've seen in my fav Cdrama of the year - Everlasting Longing, but then I remembered I've seen him already last year in Go Ahead. My second pick was Choo Young Woo, who became my 2025's crush after seeing him in The Trauma Code (I'm an easy girl, a doctor gown does that for me lol). but he doesn't really fit the keyword as I've seen him years ago in Oasis. I just didn't pay attention to him back then.
and so I looked for someone I've seen for the first time this year and I got to Liu Yu Ning, whom I've seen this year in both Prisoner of beauty and the much better A Dream Within A Dream. He has some weird body proportions but I got to know he's a really great guy and obviously a talented actor, so he's my pick this year ;)

  • Nine Puzzles

    16. Nine Puzzles

    Korean Drama - 2025, 11 episodes

    9.0

I don't know where you've seen the drama, but on my streaming the translation was so off it made me hard to concentrate. So maybe understanding Korean is a blessing in disguise.
Putting it aside, I don't know if there's anyone that didn't know who the culprit was the moment she appeared on the screen. Like why else a girl who does main roles will agree to be so indifferent to the story. But I want to still applaud the creators for keeping it suspenseful nonetheless. and also for the creativity of creating the puzzle pieces. What a work of art!
    Points to think about:
    1. Why Dami always does unlikeable characters? Is it her looks that attract scripts of this type?
    2. Why Professionals like to watch so much shows of their profession? It made me laugh so much how Son Suk Ku couldn't stop quoting police officers and detective characters. It reminded me of my brother who's a doctor and is a sucker of medical programs. He even saw Hospital Playlist even though he doesn't watch Kdrama lol
    3. What was the budget of the drama? How we had such strong guest appearances? Hwang Jung Min, Lee Sung Min and much more. It was just crazy!

  • Ms. Incognito

    17. Ms. Incognito

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    9.0

I don't know why the reviews are so harsh on this drama, I quite enjoyed it (even though it's super predictable). Yes the reviews enlightened me about many things that weren't addressed properly in this drama and mentioned for nothing (?) like the single dad plot, the childhood abuse etc. To me personally what most bothered since the beginning was the "friend" character, so irrelevant, so I don't know why she appears on the poster. We didn't even get to know  her real story, if she had one.
As much as I had a SML syndrome in Love in the Moonlight, I disliked Jinyoung here, and think that story would've been just fine without the romance hints. They deal with heavy stuff so the romance is just unnecessary, and stupid how such a calculated girl like the FL will fall for it.
and Yoon Ju? I don't know how she managed for so many years to stay away from acting when she's so good. I was amazed while looking at her act. this goes for So Hee Jung too. I've seen her do evil roles before, but here it was on another level. She even smiled like the joker lol
A really great OST. All the songs of the drama sound beautiful and very scenery appropriate!

  • Undercover High School

    18. Undercover High School

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    8.5

It was nice at first then really picked up and eventually became boring. Mid drama I was really thinking I'll give it a perfect score but it started dragging and becoming way too predictable around ep 9.
Nevertheless I liked the high school dynamics and the students. The actress who played the headmaster was also so good at her role (and flexible too lol).
I didn't like though how they tried to show Seo Kang Jun as this unrivaled hero. Two secret service agents can't handle few gangsters but he by himself can? Jo Bok Rae definitely looks to have more muscle (for proof catch on Moving ;)
p.s Am I the only one thinking FL looks like an older sister of LE SSERAFIM's Chaewon?

  • You and Everything Else

    19. You and Everything Else

    Korean Drama - 2025, 15 episodes

    8.5

It was so good until it became just exhausting to watch them go back and forth, somehow meeting in every single life’s crossroads and hurting each other and that dude in the middle. It’s obvious as Kim Go Eun said, that unless Park Ji Hyun was sick, she wouldn’t reflect on her previous actions. With this type of friends, who needs enemies anyway?
Great acting from everyone involved, though they really made KGE cry too much lol and in my opinion N’s character probably was the most irrelevant one.
p.s I don’t have anything against but it seems like the western media gets into the Korean one too with all the body dysmorphia and transgender stuff, both here and in Queen Mentis. Curious what the conservative Koreans think about all that.

  • I Am Married... But!

    20. I Am Married... But!

    Taiwanese Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    8.5

But why so predictable Sunny & Rain?! ;)
I enjoyed the drama mostly, it was very hilarious at times and annoying at others. The girl needs to get a reward for bearing 3 years living with these kind of intervening in laws. Only the infertility plot included surprising aspects but imo for such a light hearted drama, it was totally unnecessary (though I laughed so much when her "uterus" talked with her. it reminded me all the crap my mom gives me with the topic too) . and we didn't even see how the topic concluded, they didn't talk it out, will they have kids or not and how?
It's nice they showed us why she decided to marry him, but she shouldn't have stayed. It's not only his family, he himself is very very problematic.
p.s dramas should stop normalizing doing things while it pours over the characters! No one smiles while biking when you get soaked in rain.

*Recommend some hidden gems. drama with less than 3.000 watchers. So I went almost one by one in my list of completed dramas of the year by how I ranked them and surprisingly I found a Netflix drama with only 1700 watchers? ;) This drama is ranked 20 out of 60 dramas I've seen this year and I gave it 8.5/10 which is very high for me! Overall I recommend it so you'll be as frustrated as I was from watching and the FL was from her marriage lol
btw He deserved the hitting with the pizza haha

  • Mercy for None

    21. Mercy for None

    Korean Drama - 2025, 7 episodes

    8.5

So when gangsters die, even in double digits, nobody investigates it? cause multiple people were dying each episode and the police never came lol
I follow on Instagram both So Ji Sub (my decade ago crush) and Choo Young Woo (this year's crush) and one of them has spoiled the ending, I bet you know who ;) [off the record: it's true what they say, that women when young want older men and when they get older they start fancying guys younger than them lol]
Overall, I liked the drama, even with all the fighting scenes. and mercy for SJS for participating in almost all of them. I think I never seen Gong Myung in a more obnoxious role, and I loved how Ahn Gil Kang beat the sh*t out of him. Huh Joon Ho on the other hand was way too delicate with his unlawful son.
Can't understand why Cha Seung Won or Lee Jong Hyuk are mentioned as guests when the first had plenty of screen time since beginning till end, and the latter even participated in promotions of the drama.
Also, does Netflix takes all the criminals that aren't allowed on regular channels? First Oh Dal Soo in Squid Game S2 and now Lee Bum Soo here? What's wrong with them? Is abuse not a crime in the US?

  • Heavenly Ever After

    22. Heavenly Ever After

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    8.0

Son Suk Ku must receive an award for his role. I believed they were a couple even with their enormous age difference. I didn't even waste time to remember the name of the show, I was always calling it SSK's drama lol Though obviously everyone in the cast has done an amazing job!! I bawled my eyes with them, especially on ep 11. and I think it's a plot hole the fact she didn't recognize her old self, especially since he did.
Loved how much they put effort into creating that after life world, it was super interesting to learn about heaven and hell, and it was great (and hilarious) seeing the master of both realms being played by the same guy. Wasn't that much fan of the dogs plot, but I'm just not an animal person, it bothered me in Tomorrow as well.
p.s I'm dying to have Han Ji Min's haircut. Love those bangs. I'll wait for summer to end and I'll do it :) but definitely not going to have her outfit. Why did she always wear that short skirt? she even had to wear like idols safety shorts underneath :/

  • Beyond the Bar

    23. Beyond the Bar

    Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

I don’t know how law dramas can be innovative but the cases they followed were creative and interesting at times. Loved how they showed the lawyers lines of thoughts and overall they had many great quotes.
Upset Jeon Hye Bin didn’t get more screen time, though I’m happy they gave some emphasis on her family’s story and the romance. She deserves the best.
Interestingly Lee Jin Wook looked much more comfortable around Chaeyeon than he did last year with Shin Hye Sun though the age difference much bigger this time. Wonder if that’s because they’re from the same agency or there’s basis for all their shippers.
I was curious whether Kim Eui Sung will flip to the other side and till the end I didn’t understand whether he’s a good guy or bad. I guess he’s more of a grey character with power but good intentions.

Why they had to ruin for me the drama. It was so good before the 10 eps till the end. First it was the politics that took center stage then they made 2ML lose his mind, ruined his character and with that even made FL look less nice (I didn’t like how she threw away his gift).
At first, I wasn’t agreeing with my friend who insisted that I’ll watch Shadow Love first as she thinks it’s better (just because she read the LotFG novel and the drama comes short). I loved Ryan’s character here so much more. He was a man unlike in SL where he was a clingy puppy. Him and the FL were equals this time around and i loved their relationship but because of what they did 10 eps till the end, I lost all interest. But I paid attention nonetheless and noticed dude was always shocked from her kisses. Close those eyes already lol
So final verdict is Shadow Love is stable average and Female General is amazing 2/3 and disastrous in final 1/3.

I'm so traumatized by Bae Soo Bin's previous characters that I suspected him as a cheater till almost the end. Surprised he was a good guy after all. and surprised at the same time that the police officer was so evil.
I think the hardest role to play was Do Sang Woo's. He rally delivered that madness of a junkie. As I haven't seen Dae Jung Geum (unlike my brother. I was just too little lol maybe I'll catch it up one day), it's my first time seeing Lee Young Ae and she was amazing. as was everyone else.
Even though it had it predictable moments, I think the story was innovative enough. It's a bit crazy no? to sell drugs with your daughter's art teacher? ;)
btw couldn't understand how the ML was okay with his family after all he's been through, and it's good he opened his eyes at last.

The drama was really nice at first and gave us a glimpse of a career field that isn't often explored in dramas, yet towards the ending when they dived more into the personal relationship of the leads (and some past trauma ofc) they lost some of my interest. They were cute together but I liked more seeing them working on cases rather than loving, if that makes any sense. But I loved the kids interactions, the neighbors and coworkers too.
I'm happy though that I finally watched a drama of the ML. Somehow even though he's forever in the business, I never came across a project with him that I was curious about till now..

So Jang Uk 1 - Jin Mu 1? lol but TBH when I was on ep 5 my friend spoiled me it's not a pleasant ending, and I just told her that I hope it won't be Jo Bo Ah (and I'm happy I protected her previously. When she gets normal script she does a great job).
I mean, it's very difficult after watching an actor doing a saguk masterpiece to separate it from a similar role. Unlike hers Destined With You which was only ok imo, I LOVED Alchemy S2 and I just couldn't stop thinking that I'll rewatch it while watching this production. It's hard to be very original in scenery and love stories in saguk and except it being more explicit this time around, it's obvious that it comes lacking in comparison. If I was Lee Jae Wook, I wouldn't take on this role and like Youn Jung, always would've try for a different genre. Also my heart hurt for him and the training and regime he had to endure probably. Guy was semi naked and fighting much of the series.
It was also pretty confusing how they forgot about the snow man and then got back to his plot then suddenly he disappeared again. Who was that guy anyways? left unclear. and like many others, I didn't like how they tried to suddenly make the older brother a villain. It was so out of character for him.
Also, a ML like Kim Jae Wook shouldn't take such small roles. He was impactful and acted superb but it's just not worth it. I want to see him as lead next time! Park Byung Eun also does already main lead roles but he had a lot of screen time so I guess it's okay.

My friend who've seen this and Ryan's other 2025 drama insisted I should watch this drama first, and even though the other was already translated (in my language) I've waited patiently till this one will be over too, but all this wait was for nothing as I was a bit disappointed. Firstly, I think my friend made me expect too much of it. She has a similar taste to mine so I expected to like it a lot. Secondly, while reading the synopsis it reminded me The Legends, which is one of my favorite Cdramas, so I thought it will be amazing. And lastly and most importantly, since seeing Ryan in My Journey to You I've waited for him to get a main role and now that he got it, I regret it a bit. Not because he's a bad actor god forbidden, but I think actors flourish the most in evil roles. He was too sweet (?) here which made it boring. Don't get me wrong, I liked the main couple's story, romance and devotion to each other, but those who wrote that only from ep 30 the action in the drama stars were right, and it ends again at 36- that's most of the drama! I loved that they showed FL's soldiers stories as well though too much screen time for the doctors in those 6 interesting eps lol and very emotional family stories too, on both sides.
p.s Did anyone else was bothered too by the FL's fake eyelashes? They were not even put properly at times and it makes you wonder overall why does a general even need such long eyelashes.

*A character you would swap places with (for any reason). -FL Li Shuang - because:
    a. She has a loving and supporting (rich) family
    b. She is a strong female general who shatters the glass ceiling and is an example for women and men, being admired, respected and followed by many
    c. She has a very handsome prince who loves her unconditionally as a partner

TBH I waited for a much bigger revelation. And I think that's why I lost interest in the last 2 eps of the drama. Also, although I love dearly both Seung Heon oppa and Jung Hwa unni, their younger versions sold the romance much more, and probably to the director too as we concluded the drama without too much relationship affirmations.
Haven't seen Lee El doing an evil character for awhile and I think she rocked it. Overall she really works hard, doing both this  and Queen Mantis at the same time (though I was told QM was filmed last winter, so she had some time in between).
Loved they incorporate old songs of Jung Hwa unni. It made Festival appear on my Spotify's On Repeat lol and I think the curls look FANTASTIC on her!

As a Soshi and Hottest I subjectively liked it. Objectively I know the drama wasn't that good, low quality, a lot of poor acting and overall was lucking in comparison to the OG material (my friend's words lol I haven't read it).
I did like it more than King the Land (way too centered on fan service and clichés) but it's obvious Yoona and Junho had much more chemistry! (maybe it's because Taec has a fiancée and Seohyun is still a newbie actress?). Their steaming scenes were good but simple romantic scenes weren't that good, and he was faking much of the gentle kisses he gave her.
Towards the end, it started dragging and I was afraid they'll do the (obvious) trick that was used in Kuning Palace but the king here was much more stupid and gullible. I do think the villains and semi-villains were very well written. Never seen Lee Tae Sun doing such an evil character, suits him well lol Though I didn't like that the girl got her redemption. She didn't deserve it.

Just shoot that arrow at him you frustrating girl! and give me back my precious minutes if he was revived eventually! I don't know how in Bai Lu dramas where I care about the romance, they have sad endings but those where I don't care always get the happy (unrealistic) ever after. Especially here. I loved their previous lives romance (and all the previous lives story overall, I found the drama interesting at last). Yet, the regular romance felt so forced, even more because from the very beginning, even when there wasn't an ounce of closeness between main leads, they added music to push them on us viewers. I think it made me have an anti for the couple. Not only that, I thought at first it's a bit similar to Love Between Fairy & Devil, because both ML became like puppies towards the FL, but here it was much faster so I didn't like that such a powerful king of demons is "bending the knee" like that.
Overall it's a drama with beautiful women and peculiar looking men lol

It started so strong and to me personally as a HOTTEST, the first ep where Junho was performing, threw me back to his glorious 2PM days and I was hooked. but in their third product (I know many skip the intro on Netflix, but if you've paid attention since the beginning all of the products appear) the repetitiveness just started to bore me. It was clear how the drama will end I think to everyone, so why did we need all this collisions in every cause? just more of the same.
I wasn't fond of the romance (and not because I think Kim Min Ha is ugly. I only dislike her eyebrows), they just had no chemistry (and still like the professionals they're, they delivered steaming kiss scenes. but I wasn't even interested in them). The drama is pretty heavy and we could've just witness their beautiful comradeship and leave the relationship stuff to the sister and the friend.
What I hated though was how they normalized awful acts. First with the forgiveness of the lady who almost burned her, as if the lady was the only one suffering and then the father-son due. Both acted as if for few weeks they had even less than slave relationship.
It was nice they tackled topics like sexism and obv great acting from everyone involved and was happy Junho sang the main OST, but sad he didn't get back to greenhouse. He really flourished in it(you see what I did there? ;)

It took me so long to finish the last 5 eps of this drama. It was so good when it started. So much that my friend ran to read the novel, and since then everything went to ruins lol She kept telling me how different the novel was from the drama, and tbh the novel sounded better. What I loved at first in the drama was that they were rivals, but from some point (much before the novel) FL started acting like a lost loving puppy around the ML. Always wanted to get his favor, and not in a cunning way, but because she was head over heals for him. So much that she put aside her family and everything she cherished, cared and motivated her at the beginning of the drama. Don't get me wrong, they were cute together but I really hated how she chased after him as it was so out of character for her.
Unlike other dramas, I liked the side stories here and all the people who were around the FL and ML. Though I hate it when full figured people are only matched with other similarly looking. It's like it's out of the question that a hot guy will like a fatty girl.. (btw the other way around, happens much often)
p.s ML probably has something with costume dramas. Straight after this one he did A Dream Within A Dream. I read the favorable reviews (of my friend too) but I think I need a break from him lol

It feels like UAE ministry of tourism (and Emirates airline) sponsored this drama. and if so, it worked wonders as it made me really want to travel again to Dubai lol Everyone also was dressed as if it's the filming set of Dubai Bling (which is weird AF)
I was really looking forward to this drama the moment the casting was reveled as Uncontrollably Fond is one of very few Kdramas I had rewatched, but the moment I saw the trailer I knew we're up to no good, and I inform you my rating doesn't reflect really the drama which was a challenge for viewer's intelligence (lowest ranked Suzy drama for me!). There were enough plot holes, weird speeches and stupid CGI (reminded me Heavenly Ever After, where the imaginary world was done much better).
I was upset at first for Ahn Eun Jin for having a small role, but her performance was splendid. She delivered the role so well as if she was really Kim Mi Kyung, I constantly cried with her. Steve Noh on the other hand after his outstanding performance in Pachinko, disappointed here. Also, I thought he was a model, no? How he looks so tiny next to Kim Woo Bin?
Main leads have great chemistry, which we already knew, acted well, but the concept was just weird IMO
btw I see every one talking about Park Min Young's low weight - why I don't hear the same things about Suzy? She looks way too skinny in the drama.
p.s I think it's a miss the Korean name of the drama ain't SNSD's song title. I can't stop in the last days singing while going around the house- Sowoneul malhaebwa
p.s2 Song Hye Kyo was looking like a goddess with that Genia outfit. Didn't know if to be shocked first or laugh first at the curses she and Suzy said to each other ;)

*Fashion-Award: The Best Costume. Even though it didn't suit the drama concept, obv the best outfits go to the cast of Genie Make A Wish that seemed as if they came out straight from filming Dubai Bling lol

I’m so happy I started watching Twinkling Watermelon while I was watching this drama, as I was really anti the ML. Not only I dislike noona romances but he also felt unsuitable to play the big boss role. My occupational therapist has even compared him to Ahn Hyo Seop in Business Proposal, but I think it doesn’t give justice to the latter one.
Anyways, the role indeed wasn’t right for the ML (the serious parts) but his performance in TW was perfection that I got back to MDN in a more positive mindset.
Overall, the drama was nice, and I loved FL’s family. That being said, I got tired at some point of the second leads couple (why 2FL even agrees to such a small role?) and I didn’t buy the grandma’s apology, nor his forgiveness. A decades long resentment doesn’t disappear in a blink of an eye.

    First completed 2025 drama!
So it was fine till ep 30 or so, and then they had to insert a parallel/old universe story (it's like it can't be a Wuxia drama without this sh*t) and everything became unclear. It got so confusing and too many stories at the same time that at first I lost track and then I just got bored. I swear, even Vin at this point stopped looking handsome in my eyes. If I would've ranked this drama by just the last 10 eps, it would've gotten a 3.
Have to mention though that it had a great OST and effects!
p.s The drama has a lesson for girls- If you put your eyes on a boy, and you're persistent enough, he'll eventually will come around and like you (or give you a restraining order. Whatever comes first lol)

*What was the first drama you started in 2025? The Blossoming Love - For the first time in many years I started a currently airing Cdrama (I usually binge them few months after they're completed). At first it felt like a good idea but after 3/4 of the drama's passed, it just became so boring and even the ML (for whom I've started the drama) started looking unappealing in my eyes. and by unappealing I ofc mean he started looking way too short lol

I mean they're cute AF (I was even surprised with myself with the happy face I always had while watching two forty year old's, one of I know is happily married, together) but other than their scenes the drama isn't really worth it. Yes the family relationships (he solely built!) were nice to see but other than that, everything is too regular (?). We see both of them at their jobs (peculiar but still it's just a job) and nothing really happens there, even with her that everything signaled out we will see her succeed. Didn't like all the bubbles plot of the second main leads, and I don't think 2FL deserved him. 2ML was too precious. I'm still curious how the dad had swayed his mom, she's on so many levels better than him, esp in the past.
Like someone wrote, the name of the drama isn't really suited for it. and not only that, I personally think the name Chun Woo Hee's character had didn't suit her too (don't ask me why, it just didn't feel right, from the beginning).
It was a nice surprise though to see Nam Da Reum all grown up. I remember him as a just a little boy and now he's a man, an adorable man ;)
btw I saw many complain Song Joong Ki can't do stuff like this anymore and I don't think it's right. He still looks youthful (but with way too much makeup unfortunately), it was just not a good drama but he did with it the best he could.

I wanted to watch it since I saw the poster on Dasom's Instagram (SISTAR fan right here!) but her role was prob the smallest and the most insignificant. The drama itself started nice but very fast became the regular ajumma humor. Most of their husbands were really lucking, esp the police officer, who was of zero help except in the last ep.
What I do have to applaud them was that they built the villains story really well and it was, at least for me, a total surprise who they were, and it's been awhile since I was surprised from a revelation in a drama.

Not an easy to digest drama, not the stories told nor the visual. Makes me think what attracts Da Hee to content of this sorts - L.U.C.A, Island and now this?
I think the "mystery" tag should be removed from this drama. It was thrilling at times but the big revelation wasn't a shock at all, and it's not even because they casted a famous actress. It's because their hints throughout the whole drama weren't subtle at all. Even clueless Lee Soo Hyuk eventually figured it out, only Arin, with the biggest knowledge on the topic, somehow was left in the dark and payed because of it the heaviest price.
But the story overall was innovative, quite interesting what would happen to a society where you can see Slines emerge of everyone's head. Will it bring shame to those that have many, or the contrary, to those less experienced?

She's the problem. Most people (in dramas) that were made to live like her seek revenge, but no. She looks for home, with some fixation on the mother that time after time acts terrible with her. It's been awhile I've seen such an evil family, and I don't think any of them should've received the redemption they got.
I don't know whether I've seen another drama from those who ranked it 10/10, but even the schemes of her meticulously awful father stopped to interest me at some point. So much of the same!
The main leads had zero chemistry, I couldn't believe in their love  (doesn't help also that the ML is unattractive imo and that the FL has always the same facial expressions, even when she kisses him).
The little girl was annoying af and made me understand that everyone in this drama wants to make the FL feel guilty all the time except from her bff. the only silver lining in the drama.
I even opened the spoiler comments on the drama page, that's how much I didn't care about it. Shame I wasted time to see if it gets better (I watched it in almost regular speed which I rarely do).

*This character made your blood boil! - Almost every single member of the FL's family in The Glory. Starting obv from her awful father, hypocrite mother, cunning step mom, jealous siblings, sneaky grandma and annoying step daughter.

It had some interesting, memorable and meaningful stories (like Ahn Nae Sang's and the Squid Game's grandma) but mostly the drama was dull and boring. Probably the execution wasn't correct cause the contact could've gone much better.
It seems Jung Kyung Ho has gave up on dramas and doing only comical roles, but its fine as it suits him much more imo. Seol In Ah and N aren't very critical and every actor/actress could've replaced them. I don't think any of them gave some spectacular performance, then again they had less to work with than the ghost characters or the villains.

It's as if Jeon Yeo Been has something with tragic scrips. It's always or she's sick or someone around her, like 75% of her dramas ( Vincenzo is the 25% that's left). On his part, it felt like Namgoong Min also wanted to continue with similar to My Dearest type of acting and role. As I didn't like him there, I didn't like him here.
I usually enjoy a good melodrama, but this one started so week. It did grew on me as I really felt for the FL but it started dragging again towards the end. Just a script that has way too many ups and downs. It's funny how many gave it a 10 rating but rated the story much lower..
And that ending? I watched it in regular speed (which was a torture by itself) and didn't understanding anything. I had to ask for clarifications in the drama's comments T_T

Why the screen is always so dark! I couldn’t at times see anything. In addition, I'm not kidding you when I say I had real nausea while watching most of the show (they kind of lost their direction in the last 2 eps, but before it was just physical torture).  I don't know how crazy a writer should be to write such a revolting story, and I extremely hope he/she didn't take inspiration from real life events. As everyone acted stupendously (esp Yeom Jung Ah who had the most morally difficult role to play), I'll give it an average rating but be aware, it's not for everyone.
I was a bit baffled by Dex I have to admit. He was popping up in reels from his shows on my Instagram, which I don't watch, but I never could've imagined he could act so vile. Hope he'll get more opportunities after this role.
Also I was surprised seeing Naeun. I guess the bullying scandal died at last?

I wanted to watch some Sci-Fi and Netflix proposed me this drama. I went over the reviews and they startled me, way too may 1/10 - can this be that bad? or are those bots?
When I skipped this drama, I didn't like how it interrupted my viewing sequence of both Gong Hyo Jin (since 2010) and Lee Min Ho's (since 2009) dramas. and so eventually my sequence stayed intact and you know what, the drama wasn't that bad after all as the story was quite innovative. Yes it was lacking, they talked about s*x each episode, and their romance had zero creditability. I even screamed at the screen "pathetic" in their scenes together. Each of them had much more chemistry with their prior to journey partners. I waited for them to get back to earth as I thought exploring their lives would be more interesting but they got back to space asap. Her birth story was just bizarre and so was the birth in space. Couldn't understand why LMH took so hard all the IVF process, but people who go through it as well might find this drama a bit hard to watch.
I loved the most the teammates interactions (still can't believe the actress playing the twins ain't Pyo Ye Jin. They look the same!) and laughed the most at the epilogue where GHJ gave her real sign to Jo Jung Suk. Glad for his cameo lol

I don't know how I managed on the one hand to be curious about the older sister's story and on the other, to be bored from the drama (started watching it at regular speed and toward the end of the drama was already on almost double lol).. It's a very slow and painful story overall, the extended and nuclear family relationships aren't easy to digest, but that what happens when you keep the antiqued family structure and the so called "elder's respect" and trauma builds and goes from generation to generation. but the acting was top notch, I even believed that the FL, and the others were high schoolers, even though I saw her in other projects (how short is she btw?). And FYI despite the drama's premise/main pic, it's not a romantic story, obv it's not in the center of events but I couldn't care less. The drama felt as if it was a government project to help stop biases about sick people, which is good!
I want to address also the fact that it's not first time that dramas show how doctor's families are ruined because of work and it upsets me. Family members can't enjoy the luxury this profession gives and still be mad at the doctor who doesn't spend time with them, it's just hypocrisy.

I loved Hidden Love and was very exited for this drama, especially as it was such a hit when it aired but I was disappointed. Firstly, I think people should stop using the code "slow burn" for boring dramas that takes time for them to pick up. Only on ep 10, when she hugged him while sleepwalking I felt something. and it picked my curiosity only after ep 25 or more. I just don't know how to rank this drama and I'm conflicted as I didn't enjoy it, but I always felt butterflies in the main leads scenes.  Towards the ending I got to the conclusion he was obsessed with the wrong girl. Even in real life, people move on from high school break ups, and she's really problematic (I know she was traumatized, but he doesn't have to be her salvation). Secondly, I don't know why Cdramas always try to connect ML's friend and FL's friend, and those grandparents story was just irrelevant (they aren’t even related to the main leads).
Acting wise, everyone done an amazing job. I was blown away by the FL and it's my third time seeing the ML, and I see him improve with each production.

Go Go Squid is in my TOP5 favorite Cdramas so I was really excited for the reunion of the main leads, yet something this time around was off. I even wished for her to end up with the 2ML (an idiot who grew a spine way too late). The beginning was fine with the family intrigues and so the last part, but the middle part dragged too much and was full with filler scenes that make you lose interest.
FL suffered through many misfortunes but thankfully met time after time people who cherished her and became a family. and so you can really see how Yang Zi grew as an actress from their previous project, unlike Li Xian. But to be fair, he also didn't have a lot to work with, his character wasn't complex nor interesting/special enough.
    Hated the OST.

The Korean version is in my friend's top5 dramas, and I thought to myself that maybe back then I was just too immature and jealous that Ji Chang Wook wass doing a romance (and prob even dating in real life) a girl my age and so I disliked the drama. The plot was completely erased from my memory and I came the Japanese version like a blank slate. but it wasn't all my immaturity as this time around I didn't like it as well. I've been trying to finish it for almost a year, watching 2-3 eps every few months but I'm finally over. For sure won't come back for another version.
btw just like in the Kdrama, the guy here looks so much better than the girl. Here they are the same age (which I prefer), but it's a bit unrealistic as he's supposed to be so much more her senior. Also, while JCW with all his muscles looked like he could fight, the beautiful ML here is too skinny to be able to go fight the culprit (which is no less skinny). and why the hell they always go to dangerous places without alerting the authorities??

*Come forward and call out the most toxic scene or the reddest flag in dramaland 2025. - Might be unpopular opinion but I considered Feud's Bai Jiu Si a red flag (even if not the reddest). He's responsible for the hardships and worst misfortunes the FL endured. So what if he loved her? He didn't communicate his thoughts, didn't explain his actions and brought them again and again towards close to death situations. He even was a burden on her with his child like behavior. Who needs him to be the strongest man on earth if he's such an awful partner.

Bai Lu is one of my favorite Chinese actresses so obv I want to watch all of her projects. Many have mentioned this drama in the "emotional day" of the 2025 challenge and I love a drama to cry with so I ran to watch Feud. My first obstacle was the dubbing, I was shocked Bai Lu doesn't sound like Bai Lu. This I overcame eventually by lowering the sound lol but still I couldn't find the feelings that everyone mentioned. I went to the comments and there everyone told to wait till ep 11. That was when I for the first time felt anything in the drama, while watching the poor girl on her second lightening trial. But then again they got back to their love trail (he doesn't look as well with brown hair) and it got boring again. I got back to the comments where they told to wait till ep 20/22. There I cried with the poor full of personal misfortunes girl, and afterwards it got back to boring. Someone mentioned that the fact that every time we come to a milestone in the story, they go back to the past, just hinders the interest in the story, time after time they stop us from feeling attached. I love that each of the leads had many trustworthy people around them that cared about him/her and followed till death. Very beautiful ladies and nice looking men. but What do we think about the acting of the very youthful looking ML? I'm not sure I liked his performance as much.

Watched it from beginning to end for Ha Neul but I'm not sure I'll follow with his next production. He has lots of misses in recent years.
The drama had many clichés and that old Kdrama vibe that I don't like, though I have to admit the last 2 eps were quite good (and so the rating got higher a bit). I thought at first it's a bit similar to My Dearest Nemesis, but here thankfully we haven't seen a sudden 180 degrees change of the CEO in the last episode (maybe just 15 degrees? ;)
Unbelievable they tried selling us Go Min Si, Ha Neul and Yoo Yeon Seok are same aged. Overall, couldn't understand why the latter one agreed to make such a long guest appearance. His character was more annoying than many of the Moto workers, and that says a lot. Ridiculous also how its' beautiful chef and manager suddenly decided to quit and start from the bottom. Very off character for them.

Yoo Jae Suk talked with his fellow RM members on his YouTube channel positively about the drama so I had to check it out. Turns out he's a good friend (as Kwangsoo indeed done an amazing job and worth the praise) but a terrible liar. The drama isn't good (esp Kwangsoo's portion), and when I searched it, It seemed I've started it previously and dropped it.
Yes it got a bit better after Shin Mina's story was incorporated, but I can't really rate a 6 eps drama, only by the later half of it. and It's not that those first 3 eps were that essential, it didn't give us the whole background. We eventually kept getting it through flashbacks.
And you know what, I mostly pity Kim Nam Gil and Park Hae Soo who signed up on this Netflix deal and now have to keep appearing in their mediocre productions. They do get probably a fortune, but still, if you came to this business stay true to yourself and do some great stuff from time to time.
btw Has anyone understood the last scene with the watch? I stayed confused to the last bit lol

Had to complete it before starting Jinyoung's new drama (which is amazing btw, totally recommend). This drama is hella confusing. On paper it was supposed to be a really interesting one, and the first 2 eps were good but the plot was just everywhere, I couldn't keep up and I was getting more confused by the second. The penultimate episode cleared some things up but not enough and the last episode has provided new questions. So was his friend and the FL (who almost had no screen time!) were similar? Exactly similar? Same rules apply for both? Did he sat his coworker just to see if it'll work for the friend too? How did he survive the fall from the bridge and why they had to specifically meet abroad?

I don't know why Park Bo Gum did this drama. It's beyond imagination the fact he's the ML of the best drama of 2025 and also the worst (well almost. Motel California is, but this stays close). And why would he think it's interesting? It's a stupid concept - athletes that become police officers? I do think that on their part, it's Kim So Hyun's and Sang Yi's best acting roles. Everyone did a good job, I personally didn't like that Oh Jung Se, Go Jun and especially Man Shik were made the bad guys, they were so mean T_T
My favorite part was when Ho Jung Kissed PBG's kiss and told him he's a Good Boy. Overall, her scenes were my favorite. (second favorite was when Sang Yi told PBG to stop smiling so he won't fall for him. I get you, I'm not even crushing on him and still can't resist that smile).
But Ho Jung's weren't in charge for his kisses solely. PBG practically ate KSH, I was shocked! I didn't even know he's capable of it lol
p.s the product placement was just too much! Especially when they filmed scenes from few angles to show the hamburger brand but didn't notice that the actors hands were placed differently in a "one long scene" (but definitely not "one shot")
p.s2 It's like they learned from the Americans and Russians are always the bad guys. but I thought everyone is boycotting Russia? How come S.Korea is still trading with them? lol Though I have to applaud them for hiring real Russian actors, the accent was good, even Go Jun did a nice job.

*THE most swoon-worthy kiss of the year. -Even though it's in my TOP5 worst dramas of the year, their kiss is the most memorable to me (maybe because I never seen Park Bo Gum kissing anyone like this? lol) and I know it's not a GIF (couldn't find unfortunately) but you'll just have to believe me it was one hell of a kiss ;)

The political plot was way too Americanized and badly made. The American politicians dialogues were even worse then those of Trump and his colleagues (and we all know Trump talks like a teenage fangirl).
Jun Ji Hyun is a beauty (and looks just like 10 years ago) but her English for someone who's character was born and raised in the states is lacking. Disliked how the drama forced on us her relationship with Kang Dong Won, who prob should've stayed with his movie career cause this drama only showed him in bad light. He looked at her like she's some sort of a candy, and always touched her (even before their romance started) in a way that made even me, as a viewer, feel discomfort for JJH. I know it's harsh but in my eyes, I was witnessing an harassment by a h*rny ML.
SFL angers me since Heartbeat already. It's like her face calls for unlikable characters, just like JJH's mother in law.

Every half decade, I watch a Lee Bo Young drama, and I’m surprised anew by how beautiful she is.
The drama isn’t good. The problem isn’t only the topic, it’s the execution of it, cause they probably could’ve brought so much more from it and the amazing cast they had (never before saw Tae Hang Ho play a such a strict character! I was shocked by the difference of his acting voice from his regular one).
Everything was just too confusing all the time, medical special cases, regular cases, regular police officers, corrupted police officers, drug dealers, junkies - too much of everything.
About the topic - I come from quite a religious country, and the drama’s page was full of discussions whether it’s an okay thing to do (definitely they had there much more action than the feed of the drama here lol). I personally believe in g-d but I think that everyone has the right for his/her body. Just like I’m pro abortions, I think that people who suffer from medical condition and don’t have any other option, can and should be allowed (medically) finish their life.

My dear fellow 95-96 line chingus, please stop portraying high school characters! Enough is enough! You (and me) don't look like we're 10 years younger, especially the cast of this drama.
TBH I was very curious about this drama. Kim Min Ha doesn't do many project so I thought this might be some interesting production, but on ep 2 I got to understand that my expectations were high for no reason. I didn't like the drama at all, and as it progressed I just disliked it more and more. It was so weird how main leads character changed that much after his death. Like I know that trauma does many things, but both of them got the total opposite, as if they immersed themselves in the other's name they took.
The only silver lining was their family interactions and ML's friend (I felt like I knew him from somewhere but only after I completed the drama, I checked it out and learned he appeared in Extraordinary You. There he felt average as Jae Wook and Rowon are tall as a tree but here he looked taller than already tall Gong Myung so I didn't connect the dots lol)
btw Where was Shin Eun Kyung all these years? I think it's my first time seeing her in a decade..

A slightly better version of Brewing Love but not enough to waste your time. Not only that but I think it's the worst role I've seen the ML play and I watched him being the evil guy in Nokdu. FL was fine but she doesn't grow on me, and I've seen her in a few productions already, so I'm not sure I'll stick with another one.
I know many liked the 2ML but I haven't noticed any growth from him and maybe we even could've lived just fine without the 2FL (even though she's at fault for breaking 2ML and FL)..
p.s Found it very stupid they made FL portray someone older than ML by 2 years when they're same age in real life.

Is it too early to crown it as the worst drama of the year? I sure hope there won't be worse ones *fingers-crossed*
I don't understand people who were arguing with me to prove it is a melodrama, cause it isn't. (and I'm telling it as a big melodrama fan)
The only good thing was the casting of Lee Se Young & Cha Min Soo (whom I didn't recognized at first with that beard) - but I definitely didn't like their characters. Actually the normal characters were only the Seoul crew, especially 2ML. The hotel steward was also nice at times. ML's mom was just a b*tch and with this type of mother in-law, I too would've ran away!
The OST was great! Though I think it's a miss they didn't include some version of 'Hotel California' in it as well lol

  • Confidence Queen

I thought at first to give it my lowest (thus far) drama rating which is 2, but I gave it to Motel California as well, and there at least I felt something (detest, which is still a feeling) but here I was so indifferent that I guess the rating will be even lower.
I love Park Min Young's dramas and especially the characters she chooses, they're always so interesting and give intelligent speeches but here, just like the other characters of the drama, she was dramatically and unflatteringly stupid. They framed a childhood kidnapping story with many crazy stuff, which took out the seriousness the story deserves. Therefore the last 2 eps felt uncharacteristic and so was the 2ML (the guy from Extraordinary Attorney Woo).
Also, it seems that not only in his Netflix productions, Park Hee Soon just can't take good projects.

  • Last Summer

I had a feeling this drama will be bad since Lee Jae Wook posted the trailer for the drama on his Instagram. but it was much worse than I ever could've ever imagined and I've seen bad Jae Wook's dramas. Next to Last Summer, The Impossible Heir (from the same creators, the drama that everyone hated) is a 10/10 story.
The whole twin story was stupid imo , the second couple's drama wasn't that interesting (do impaired people really can have babies themselves?). Even the guy from You and Everything Else became really fast a wallflower in the story.
Disappointed from JW's dramas choices. From the girl I didn't expect anything, I don't really know her lol
