During her time at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, she was a prominent member of the comedy club, so after she graduated, she joined SBS and made her debut in 2006 as part of the cast of "People Looking for a Laugh". However, SBS comedy shows were not very popular, so she switched to tvN's "Comedy Big League", where she gained recognition due to her unique facial expressions.
In 2017, she married fellow comedian Kang Jae Jun, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2024. She is represented by TN Entertainment (티엔엔터테인먼트).
