He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Decision Making from Tamkang University (淡江大學經營決策學系) and a Master’s degree in Business Management from Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology (健行科技大學經營管理碩士).
Following his "Super Idol" appearance, Chou pursued a solo music career, releasing an EP in October 2008. He debuted with SIGMA as the group’s leader in November 2010. After completing mandatory military service from August 26, 2013, to August 8, 2014, he resumed his career as a solo artist.
