Choi Yong Bae is a South Korean producer. He entered Seoul National University in 1982 and spent his college life as an aspiring film director who "watched about 95% of the Korean films released from 1982 to the early 2000s". After graduating from college, he joined the Daewoo Research Foundation, gained experience through an 8mm film workshop in 'Our Madang' in Sinchon, and immediately sacked the company and entered the film department of Seoul Institute of the Arts (then Seoul Yejeon) as a class 87.
