Rachel Shen is a Taiwanese actress and TV hostess born in Taoyuan, Taiwan. She graduated from Tamkang University (淡江大學) with a degree in English. In 2018, she joined TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited) Taiwan Production Center.

In 2010, Shen gave birth to a son with Zhang Gang Wei (張綱維), the owner of Huajiang Construction (樺福建設) and the general manager of Far Eastern Air Transport (遠東航空). The couple married in Bali that same year, though they did not register their marriage in Taiwan. Following the public attention surrounding her child out of wedlock, Shen took a three-year break from the entertainment industry before returning in mid-2012.
