In a career that has moved from highpoint to highpoint, 1998 particularly stands out. Akihiko won Japan’s Academy Award for his participation in Asia’s box office smash, “Bayside Shakedown." Further cementing his stellar reputation as Japan’s most distinguished and successful composer, he was commissioned to work as music director for the series, “Resident Evil," PlayStation 2's most well known video game worldwide.
