He debuted in September 2008 as part duo MAN OF K (맨 오브 케이; M.O.K.) along Park Seung Il with the album "Music Is My BOB" but they were not very successful. In 2011, they decided to participate in the competition show, "Superstar K 3", eventually ending as the winners. However, they faced several years of low productivity and several changes after leader Lim Yoon Taek died due to cancer in 2013. In 2015, he declined to be part of sub-unit ULALA PRAISE and continued promoting as a solo artist. In 2022, he was convinced by Park Seung Il to participate in the competition "Sing Again 2" as ULALA SESSION, managing to reach the top 10.
