He completed his education at Tungshan High School (東山高中) and earned degrees from Shih Hsin University's Department of Broadcasting and Television (世新大學廣電系) and the Institute of Art Studies at Chinese Culture University (文化大學藝術研究所).

On December 17, 2010, Ku married Wang Hsiao-ping (王曉萍), the general manager of MISS SOFI.
