Kim Ga Young is a South Korean broadcaster and meteorologist. She graduated from Dongmyeong Girls' High School and later graduated from Sookmyung Women's University with a bachelor's degree in Modern Dance. Despite her background studies, she began working as a weather caster when she was hired by OBS Gyeongin TV in 2015. She then moved to the Pohang branch of MBC where she worked as an announcer from 2016 until mid 2017 when she moved to KBS and served as a news anchor at the KBS channel in English until 2018. MBC signed her to an exclusive contract in 2018 and she worked as a weather caster but became widely known for her witty videos on Youtube where she would do the weather forecast showing her talents like rapping or free dancing. In 2020, she was invited to "King of Masked Singer" and managed to defeat Monsta X's Joohoney in the first round. She has worked on baseball broadcasts for two years and has also done several cover dance videos from many K-Pop idol songs. Since 2021, she signed an exclusive contract with JTBC Studios.
