In 2005, he suffered from depression after his fiancé died in a car accident and was unsure of what to do with his life. He decided to move to South Korea as an English instructor and arrived in Paju in 2007 where he will work until 2011. In 2012, he appeared in a special episode of "Korea Sings" and locals were surprised by his excellent Korean and his singing abilities. Afterwards, he joined the hip-hop duo "M.C.B. TwinZ" and released a song in 2013, but he withdrew shortly thereafter to become a solo artist. He has settled in South Korea and has been appearing steadily in TV shows and even has had cameos and special appearances in drama such as "Reply 1988" and "The Pregnant Tree and the Goblin" since his arrival in the country.
