She made her debut in December 2011, using the stage name Shine, when she was added as CHI CHI's new lead vocalist and rapper. The group had debuted 9 months earlier, but 3 of the 7 original members decided to leave after the promotional period ended. Trophy Entertainment (트로피 엔터테인먼트) and Banana Culture Entertainment (formerly known as Yedang Entertainment) co-managed the group and decided to add her as a fifth member. She had her first release with the group in April 2012 with their Japanese debut single album "Don't Play Around".
However, they went on hiatus in late 2012 and had no activities for most of 2013 when a former stylist revealed in her IG account that the group had disbanded.
She then moved into acting, using her real name, and made her debut in 2013 with a role in the MBC drama, "Hur Jun, the Original Story". She is represented by Early Bird Entertainment (얼리버드 엔터테인먼트).
