Sazal Kim is a South Korean actor born in Bangladesh. Adopted by a Christian Korean family when he was 15 years old, he came to Korea where he was admitted to a middle school in Korea and learned the language. His dream was to become a cricketeer, but the sport is not very popular in Korea.

Sazal got his big break in show business in 2012 when he was just a high school student recruited for a short film called "Ashock." He played the lead role of a Bangladeshi sportsman who has been scouted as a coach for the Korean Cricket team. After starring in the short, some agencies started to call Sazal and he soon landed a role in "Rude Miss Young-ae." He played the role of "Sazal," a Bangladeshi worker. He played the role for six years and his Korean fans would recognize him for his comical acting. After that, he decided to use Sazal Kim as his stage name due to the popularity he earned through the series.
