In 1997, Wen Lan participated in the Super Rookie King (超級新人王) singing competition in Taipei, where she attracted the attention of host Jacky Wu (吳宗憲). This led to a contract with Alfa Music (阿爾發音樂), marking her debut in the entertainment industry with the song "Sixth Sense" (第六感).
Throughout her career, Wen Lan has been affiliated with several record labels: Seed Music (種子音樂) from 2007 to 2013, Sun Entertainment Culture (太陽娛樂文化) from 2014 to 2016, Chengli Qian Dai Culture (誠利千代文化) from 2018 to 2024, and Warner Music (華納音樂) from 2024 to present. She has been managed by Lantu Entertainment (嵐圖娛樂) since 2013.
