Armando was a Filipino actor before the world war. He first appeared in the drama film Ang Birheng Walang Dambana in 1936. It was in 1939 that he made a movie in the yard of Sampaguita Pictures called Walang Tahanan which was led by Rosa Aguirre who was one of the famous artists of Sampaguita . He also stopped making films for a year until the year 1941 when LVN Pictures took his services in the film Ikaw Pala , a melodramatic film before the war .

After the war and more than a five-year hiatus from film, in 1947 he was included as one of the villains of Rosa del Rosario and Jose Padilla Jr. in a Premiere Productions musical film Bakya mo Neneng .
