Hsiao Shu Shen is a Taiwanese actress and pop singer. She was mentored by Singaporean music producers Lee Shih Shiong (李偲菘) and Paul Lee (李偉菘) and signed a three-year contract with Rock Records (滾石唱片). After receiving music training in Singapore, she released her debut album, "Love and Hate: Suzanne Hsiao" (愛恨蕭淑慎), in 2002.

Her career faced significant setbacks after 2006 due to multiple drug-related scandals. In 2010, she was convicted of drug use, including testing positive for amphetamines three times. She was sentenced to one year and seven months in prison by the Shilin District Court (士林地方法院), and a subsequent sentence from the High Court (高等法院) totaled one year and one month. She served her time at the Taipei Tucheng Detention Center (台北土城看守所) and was released on parole in 2012.

After her release, Hsiao returned to public life in 2014, apologizing for her offenses. In 2017, she married her boyfriend of over a year, Liang Hsvan An (梁軒安).

In 2020, Hsiao was diagnosed with duodenal cancer, which metastasized to her liver by 2022.

In July 2014, she was involved in an incident where she was briefly believed to be attempting self-harm, but it was later clarified that she was not at risk, and her management attributed the incident to dizziness caused by medication.
