She joined JTG Entertainment (제이티지엔터테인먼트) in early 2020 and was set to debut as part of the agency's new boy group, preliminarily named JTG Boys. However, in May 2021, the company merged with Starweave Entertainment (스타위브 엔터테인먼트), and she continued training.
She finally made their debut, under the stage name Ryujei, in February 2022 as the group's lead vocalist and rapper with their first EP "JTrap," before they disbanded in January 2024.
After disbanding, she changed her stage name to Cherry and began working as an influencer.
