Ryu Seung Joo is a South Korean musical actress and singer. She made her debut with small roles starting in 1997 and continued to develop until she earned major roles in musicals such as Bad Guys, Dreamgirls, Wedding Singer, among others. She met actor Ricky Kim while both were doing charity work for a non-profit organization called Compassion and they got married in 2009 after dating for 2 years. She stopped acting for the birth of her two children in 2011 and 2013 and returned in 2014 with the album "U and I". She continues to appear on musicals and is beginning to appear more on TV variety shows as well.
