An Se Young is a South Korean badminton player. She graduated from Gwangju Sports High School and she was part of the national junior team that clinched the mixed team title at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships. In 2018, she was selected to join the national team and became the first junior high school student in the South Korean national team. She participated in many international competitions and in 2019, she was awarded Most Promising Player of the Year by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) after clinching the World Tour title that season.

In 2021, she represented South Korea at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (delayed one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and she won her first 2 group matches and the round-of-16 before being eliminated in the quarterfinals. In 2022, she obtained the bronze medal at the BWF World Championships, and she is expected to represent South Korea at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
