Kim Yong Pil is a South Korean former announcer and current MC and trot singer. He graduated from Kookmin University with a bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering. He began his career as MC for the MBC show "Live This Morning". In 2006, he won the TV Reporter's Award and it was given to him at the MBC Drama Awards. He has featured in other programs as host but he has not received the opportunity to feature more prominently in bigger shows. As a result, he wanted to try something else and, in 2022, he participated in "Mr. Trot Season 2". His voice surprised the judges and sent a message to middle-aged men who might be bored with their routine that is always possible to try something new or more challenging. He was eliminated just before the top-10 rounds and ended in 14th place.
