Lee Cha Eun is a South Korean snowboarder, specializing in halfpipe. He is attending Suri High School. He was introduced to snowboarding at age 6 but began his career when he was 10. He quickly began attracting attention as the next snowboarding prodigy when he beat older snowboarders at the Asian Cup in 2020. A year later, he won a bronze medal in the men's snowboarding halfpipe at the 2021 Junior World Championships and in 2022, he finished 8th at the World Cup held in California. While training in Switzerland, he received a call telling him to join the South Korean national team as a German snowboarder withdrew due to injury and the extra spot was given to him. He participated in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and finished 18th but gained invaluable experience. In 2023, he won a gold medal in the World Cup held in Georgia becoming the youngest athlete to win and also the first time a South Korean has won a medal in skiing or snowboarding in this competition.
