Jang Beom Joon founded the band with a vision of being a busking art group that focused on street performances and brought an artistic cultural presence. Jang originally named the band PINKY PINKY and participated in music festivals with a rotating set of members, mostly students from Sangmyung University.
He was also a student and Brad Moore was an English instructor before deciding to join the band, which was then renamed to BUSKER BUSKER. The trio entered "Superstar K 3", where they finished in 2nd place.
He made his official debut in March 2012 as the band's bassist and sub-vocalist with their first album, "Busker Busker 1st Album". Six months later, they released their second album and after promotions ended, they decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. While the band has never officially disbanded, they have not released any new material together since then.
Later that year, he opened the media art studio "PigRabbit" and released his first single album in 2021.
