Lee Jeon Hyoung is part of the first generation of VFX artists in Korean cinema. Majoring in industrial design from Kyunghee University, Lee and three classmates founded their own visual effects company EON Design House (later renamed EON Digital Films) in 1995. Lee and his studio gained international exposure and recognition for their work on Park Chan Wook’s Oldboy (2003). LEE would be in charge of all of Park’s films since then, from Sympathy For Lady Vengeance (2005) to The Handmaiden (2016).

Following his acquisition in 2014 of AZWorks, which had since focused its business on CGI animation, LEE moved the headquarters of 4th Creative Party to Busan, bringing with him his college classmates and EON cofounders Choi Jae Chun and Han Young Woo. The studio made the headlines in 2015 for the creature of The Tiger (2015) entirely created in CGI and later won Best Visual Effects at the Chunsa Film Awards and the Grand Bell Awards.

Since 2017, he has been particularly active in the Chinese market, having overseen visual effects for the historical romantic drama Once Upon a Time (2017) and fantasy epic adventure Legend of the Ancient Sword (2018). His studio was also the first Korean company to make the short list for the Academy Award for visual effects, for Okja (2017).
