Lee Kwang Yong is a South Korean announcer. He graduated from Chungam High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Yonsei University. He made his debut in 2002 as a sportscaster at MBC ESPN and one year later decided to apply at KBS and became part of the 29th open recruitment for announcers at the network. He follows the line of senior announcers like Choi Seung Don and has broadcasted several Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup tournaments and also K-League games. He is a rare announcer as he can broadcast soccer and baseball games and was in charge of several playoff games for the KBO League. In 2018, he was given one of the lead announcing roles at the FIFA World Cup in Russia and, after 15 years of career, he became one of the top-3 announcers in the network.
