He made his debut in 2013 as a newspaper reporter and one year later began his TV career as an announcer for MBC Jeonju. After 3 years, he decided to quit to re-evaluate his career.
In 2020, he accepted an offer to become an anchor at YTN and one year later, he applied at KBS and was selected as part of the 48th open recruitment for announcers at the network. He spent 2 years at the Changwon Station as part of his broadcasting rotation and returned to Seoul in early 2023 to become part of the KBS News Plaza panel.
