Kim Hyeon Woo is a South Korean news anchor and reporter. He graduated from Seongbo High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Japanese from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He made his debut in 2005 as part of the 13th open recruitment for news anchors and reporters at SBS. In 2010, he earned his first major role in the network when he was assigned to commentate on the freestyle ski events at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In 2012, he took over the weekend anchor role at SBS's "Morning Wide" and two years later became the weekday anchor. In 2016, he was transferred to the SBS 8 News as the weekend male anchor and less than one year later he took over the weekday role and has remained there since then. Later that year, the drama "Jealousy Incarnate" aired and the lead character played by actor Jo Jung Suk is based on him. He married SBS weathercaster Lee Yeo Jin in 2019 and the couple welcomed their 1st son the following year. He currently ranks as the 2nd male anchor in SBS.
