After the death of his brother, he decided to become a singer and trained under Lee Hyun Do (the other half of DEUX) and Kim Jong Jin. He made his debut as a singer in 1997 with the song "With You" and later that year he debuted as a musical actor with a role in the musical "Grease". In 2004, he worked as an assistant theater director in the play "Made in China". One year later, he debuted as a film actor with a small role in the movie "The President's Last Bang" and in 2006, he appeared in the musical "Mulan". In 2018, he appeared in an episode of "Two Yoo Project Sugar Man Season 2" as his brother was the "sugar man" on the show and he sang on his behalf. He remains an active singer but rarely appears on TV.
