Kim Seong Wook, sometimes known by his stage name D.C., is a South Korean singer, lyricist, musical actor, theater assistant director, and film actor. He graduated from Dankook University Affiliated High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Architecture from Myongji University. He is the younger brother of Kim Seong Jae, former member of DEUX. He also had good singing skills like his brother but he never wanted to be a singer. In 1995, his older brother was found dead of an apparent overdose at age 23. While signs pointed to him being murdered by his girlfriend, she was acquitted in 1996 due to lack of evidence, she was released from jail and the death has never been solved.
After the death of his brother, he decided to become a singer and trained under Lee Hyun Do (the other half of DEUX) and Kim Jong Jin. He made his debut as a singer in 1997 with the song "With You" and later that year he debuted as a musical actor with a role in the musical "Grease". In 2004, he worked as an assistant theater director in the play "Made in China". One year later, he debuted as a film actor with a small role in the movie "The President's Last Bang" and in 2006, he appeared in the musical "Mulan". In 2018, he appeared in an episode of "Two Yoo Project Sugar Man Season 2" as his brother was the "sugar man" on the show and he sang on his behalf. He remains an active singer but rarely appears on TV.
