Paul Shin Hwang, known professionally as Paul Blanco, Paul Hwang or Hwang Deok Soo, is a South Korean-born, Canadian rapper and singer-songwriter. He made his debut in 2017 featuring in fellow rapper BRLLNT's song "Honest" and since 2018 he has been labeled as one of the hottest rising musicians. His entire family moved to Canada when he was 2 years old and later, when he was in 2nd grade, all came back to South Korea, except his older brother. However, he never felt comfortable in the South Korean school system and, one year later, he went back to Canada where he lived with his brother in Toronto. He maintains a close friendship with rapper Uneducated Kid and, in fact, Paul was one of the reasons Uneducated Kid moved to Canada. He released his first EP "Lake of Fire" in 2019 and has collaborated extensively with other artists such as The Quiett, Code Kunst, Camo, BE'O, Changmo, and many more. He is part of the Black Rose Cartel crew and is currently represented by Ambition Musik.
