While in high school and in University, Ashford was street casted by a number of modeling agencies. In 2018, he would make his modeling debut at Seoul Fashion Week, becoming one of the few Black models that would walk that year. This was the beginning of Ashford's modeling career. He would soon go one to model for numerous clothing brands throughout Seoul and Busan, South Korea.
Because of his rising online presence, Ashford was cast in a staring role in tVN's Drama Stage series "Mint Condition" in 2021. He even recorded the drama's OST "Never Comeback" along side his co-stars Ji Min Hyuk and Lee Seok Hyung.
