Before debuting, she was a backup vocalist for Dynamic Duo, Lena Park and Brown Eyed Soul. She made her debut in 2015 with the digital single "Lonesome Christmas" after joining the then trio (they debuted the year before), replacing one of the members.
In 2018, member Park So Hee left the group leaving her and leader Shinae An Wheeler to regroup now as a duo. In 2019, they joined SWEET SORROW (스윗 소로우) and performed together as SBSB but promotions slowed down and she stopped working for several years while Wheeler went on to musical theater. The duo has never officially disbanded but is on an indefinite hiatus.
In 2023, she reappeared as a soloist using only her English name, Sunnie, with the single "Dry Flower" featuring Jukjae.
