"Tum" Pawas Sawatchaiyamet, born in Bangkok, is a production desinger and the founder of Color Films. After graduating from Suankularb Wittayalai School, he went on to study visual communication arts at Srinakharinwirot University. He laster pursued a master's degree in film and television production at the New York Institute of Technology.

Tum began his career as an art director working for Siam Studio, one of the biggest early advertising companies in Thailand. After returning from New York, he began working for Matching Studio in 1999 when he landed the job on Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's "6ixtynin9," the first of many collaborations with the writer-director.
