Park Mi Ok is a South Korean retired police officer and inspector. She graduated from high school but did not attend college as her family was going through difficult times and could not support her financially. Instead, she decided to take the police officer's public service exam, which she passed. In 1991, she was promoted to the first Women's Detective SWAT unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. She quickly established herself as one of the best homicide detectives in South Korea with a high arrest record. She was promoted to sergeant in 9 years and, in 2019, became the first female police office to reach the rank of inspector and served as a detective chief at the Jeju East Police Station. She retired with high honors in early 2022.
