Won Mi Yeon is a South Korean singer and former actress. She graduated from Chung-Ang University with a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film. She participated in the 1985 MBC College Song Festival with the song "In the Field", and although she did not win, she made her name known in the industry. The following year, she debuted as a special actress at KBS and worked actress for a few years. She made her debut as a singer in 1989 with her 1st album, "I Want to Be Alone" but it was until her second album in 1991 that she gained more popularity as a singer thanks to the songs “Farewell Journey” and “A Little Deep Love” that became huge hits. In 2004, she began working as a radio DJ in Busan and in 2019, she opened her Youtube channel where she sings songs upon request. She is also a businesswoman as she has owned a café and currently owns a restaurant.
