Hong In Gyu is a South Korean comedian. He graduated from Jeongseok Aviation Science High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting Entertainment from Induk University. He made his debut in 2004 as part of the 19th open recruitment for comedians at KBS. He endured a difficult childhood as his parent divorced when he was 2 years old and was raised by his grandmother and an uncle. At age 8, he went to Seoul looking for his mother and got lost, spending 7 months in an orphanage before he began trusting the employees enough to tell them his home address in Incheon. As an adult, he also struggled financially and worked several part-time jobs before managing to debut. He is known for having received plenty of monetary help by fellow comedians as Jang Dong Min helped remodeled his house while he was in the military and Kim Jun Ho paid for his wedding as he could not afford a decent ceremony. In the comedy side, he appeared in "Gag Concert" often portraying pitiful characters based on his own personal experiences. He also recently opened his YouTube channel where he talks about golf and often uploads videos of him playing with other comedians.
