After graduating from Yoyogi Animation Academy Nagoya School Acting Institute, he officially made his anime debut in 1996 with the TV anime "Bakuso Brothers Let's & Go!!."

He received the Famitsu Award 2010 "Male Character Voice Award" on April 22, 2011. In 2012, he won the 6th Voice Actor Award "Overseas Fan Award."
