Bae Sang Hoon is a South Korean retired police officer/detective and forensic profiler and current podcaster. He graduated from Icheon High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a master's degree and a Ph.D in Sociology, all from Korea University. Alongside Kwon Il Yong, he is part of the first class of profilers hired by the National Police Agency under the title of criminal psychological analyst but an injury delayed his employment until the 2nd class was hired. He also served as professor and head of the Department of Police Studies at Seoul Digital University between 2010 and 2018 and, even after retiring, he has served as an expert witness in many high-profile murder cases. He also established the Welfare Center for the Disabled as part of his work for the Seoul Metropolitan Welfare Foundation. He currently has a popular podcast called "CRIME".
