Gene Simmons is the bassist of rock band KISS. He moved to America with his single mother, who was a survivor of the Holocaust, at the age of 8. He later started a rock band and named himself Gene Simmons.

Gene married his wife, Shannon Tweed on October 1, 2011. They had their son, Nick, on January 22, 1989, and their daughter, Sophie, on July 7, 1992.
