Kim Geon Jae is a South Korean musician and member of indie rock band SILICA GEL (실리카겔). He graduated from Seoul Practical Music High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Applied Music from the Seoul Institute of the Arts. He joined other students and formed the band in 2013. They made their official debut in 2015 with their 1st EP titled "Pure Sun" in English (Korean title: 새삼스레 들이켜본 무중력 사슴의 다섯가지 시각). He is the band's leader and drummer but all the band members can rotate positions as they also combine their music with VJ-ing.
