Sohn Jeong Han, known professionally as Cult Billy, is a South Korean singer and lyricist. He graduated from Gyeongnam Junior College with a bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology. He made his debut as a soloist in 1992 when he participated in the MBC Song Festival with the single "Smile to Forget" (잊기 위한 미소) for which he won the Encouragement Award. In 1995, he formed the project rock band CULT (컬트) and debuted with their 1st song "When I Hold You in My Arms" (너를 품에 안으면). The band released a 2nd album in 1997 but soon disbanded afterwards. In 2001, he re-appeared under the stage name Billy Sohn, with the OST "Charisma" for the movie "Kick the Moon" (신라의 달밤). In 2008, he released an album under his current stage name. He has also taught music at several universities/institutes and runs a coffee business and an interior design company.
