Shin Ye Joo is a South Korean traditional musician and member of the gugak band E SANG (이상). She graduated from National Traditional Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Traditional Arts from Chung-Ang University. She began showing interest in traditional Korean music when she was a child as her grandmother and mother used to perform. In 2017, she joined as the main vocalist of E SANG and made her official debut with their 1st album "Urban Poongryu" (어반 풍류). The group later entered "Poongryu - Battle Between the Vocalist" and finished in the Top 5.
