Jacques Shigeno was a Japanese jazz pianist. His younger brother, Roger Shigeno, was a drummer and a Western-style painter.

Their father, Baron Shigeno Seibu, was a musician who served in the French Foreign Legion during World War I and became known as the first ace pilot in Japanese aviation history. He remarried a French woman named Jeanne Aymar after the war, becoming Jacques's mother. Jacques, born as Shigeno Kiyotori, was their eldest son and was born in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.

He graduated from Yokohama Higher Technical School with a degree in aeronautical engineering. Like his father, he aspired to be a pilot but had to abandon his dream due to the defeat in the war and became a jazz pianist instead. He performed at US military camps and accompanied chanson singers and jazz vocalists.

He accidentally fell from the stairs of a building while trying to feed a stray cat in his neighborhood and died.
