Kitao Wataru is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and choreographer born in Hyogo, Japan. He began working as a child actor from a young age.

Later, he enrolled in the Department of Theater Arts at J. F. Oberlin University, where he studied under Professor Kisanuki Kuniko, a dancer. In 2009, while still a student, he formed the dance company Baobab, where he serves as choreographer, director, and producer for all of its productions. He also works as a choreographer for dance and theater productions by other groups and theater companies.
