Tachibana Keita is a member in the popular boy-band w-inds. In his spare time, he enjoys playing pool and soccer. He has an older brother, Yuta, and two younger sisters, Mai and Mio; Mio is currently a model and was part of the group Soran Happies. Tachibana is also close friends with Hero Jaejoong of TVXQ.

He and singer Matsuura Aya registered their marriage on August 4, 2013, after almost 12 years of dating. They held their wedding ceremony in Hawaii on October 7, 2013. They have 3 children together. They had their first child in December of 2014, their second in July of 2018, and their third in December of 2020.

On May 31, 2020 member Ogata Ryuichi has withdrawn from the group and has ended his contact with his agency due to psychosomatic disorder. The group will continue their activities with 2 members Chiba Ryohei and Tachibana Keita. They will hold their nationwide tour 'w-inds. TOUR 2022' from August 5 to October26, 2022 after 3 years.
