Kang Young Seo is a South Korean alpine skier. She graduated from Seongil Girls’ High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Korea National Sport University. During her youth, she played basketball but she switched to alpine skiing after winning the first ever competition she entered. She began her career in 2006 and while her main events are the slalom and giant slalom, she also competes in super-G and alpine skiing combined. In 2013, she was selected as the youngest ever member to the alpine skiing national team. She has won multiple medals in national competitions, 2 bronze medals at the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo and has participated in three Winter Olympics (2014 in Sochi, 2018 in Pyeongchang and 2022 in Beijing).
