Morikawa Kinya was a Japanese actor and voice actor born in Harbin, Manchukuo. He graduated from the Department of English Literature at Meiji University.

He spent his early years in Manchukuo until the end of World War II. After the war, he repatriated to Hiroshima, Japan, and graduated from Kure Mitsuta High School.

After entering Meiji University, he participated in theatrical activities. After graduating from university in 1952, he joined the Tokyo Acting Institute. Subsequently, he was affiliated with the Gendaiha theater company and the Chuugei theater company before joining the Engekiza theater company in 1961. He was also associated with Tokyo Geijutsuza, Suzuki Office, Bungei Production, Shiki Theater Company, Tadpole Project, Production M3, Moriyama Project, MW Project, MOU Project, and Ohsawa Office.
