Satsuma Kenpachiro was a Japanese actor and suit actor born in Kagoshima, Japan. He was also the head of the Satsuma Goken Training Institute.

In 1965, he joined Kawasaki Steel Corporation. The following year, he transferred to Chiba Steel Works.

In 1967, he left Kawasaki Steel and entered the Nikkatsu Acting Institute (Nikkatsu Entertainment School) as a first-year student. After graduating from there, he joined the Nikkatsu Youth Theater Company.

In 1969, he became an exclusive actor for Nikkatsu.

In September 1970, he transferred to Mifune Productions.

In 1971, he appeared as Hedorah in "Godzilla vs. Hedorah," marking his first role as a suit actor.

In 1973, he founded the affiliated theater company "Kappa" of Pee Production.

On December 16, 2023, he passed away from interstitial pneumonia at the age of 76.
