Azuma Shizuko was a Japanese actress born in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from the Toho Acting School (東宝演技研究所), she became a contract actress with Toho (東宝). She made her film debut in the 1953 movie "Himawari Musume" (ひまわり娘). Following the end of Toho's exclusive actor system, she joined the Shinsei Group (新星プログループ).

There are no records of her acting after 1998, and according to fellow actor Kato Shigeo (加藤茂雄) and actress Kawaguchi Setsuko (川口節子), she is believed to have passed away, though the exact date of her death is unknown.
