Yamada Harumi is a former Japanese actress born in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from Yakumo High School. She was affiliated with Ichitani Planning and later with Hosoya Office.

Since elementary school, she has been active as a model in girls' magazines and in commercials.

In June 1969, while still in high school, she entered the "One Million Yen Star Contest" and won the Grand Prix among 6,000 applicants, making her acting debut in the movie "Glamorous Battle" and joining Toho at the same time. She transferred to the Toho Television Department in September of the following year.

She remained with the Toho Television Department until 1976.
