Zhou Mei Yi is a Chinese actress, born as Zhou Yi in Qingdao, Shandong Province. She started out as a ballerina of the Guangzhou Ballet. Her dance drama "Mei Lanfang" in 2003 won the 3rd National Dance Drama Observation Performance Award for the best repertoire. In 2004, she starred in the ballet "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" which won the bronze at the 4th China Dance Lotus Award. In the same year, she also won the best performance in the 12th Beauty in the Flower City Advertising Rising Star Competition.

In 2006, Zhou contested in the first Miss Southern Beauty Pageant and won the Top Ten Contestants, the Most Friendly Award and the Most Popular Award by the Media.
