She began her career in 2004 as a gravure idol affiliated with Anchor Agency, releasing the image video and photo book "touch me, baby" in July through Takeshobo. Transitioning to acting, she debuted in the film "Cool Dimension" in 2006.
After her final event appearance in Akihabara on September 30, 2007, Kayama halted her entertainment activities, citing health issues. Anchor Agency formally announced her retirement from the industry on November 12 of the same year.
In October 2008, she rebranded herself as Kayama Mika and made her AV debut with MUTEKI on November 1st in the video "Perfect." Although neither she nor the company officially confirmed this transition, an article in the December 23, 2008 - January 6, 2009 issue of "SPA!" magazine reported her name change and AV debut.
Joining "Arashi o Yobu Super Girl" in 2009, she became an exclusive AV actress for S1 NO.1 STYLE.
On February 18, 2011, Kayama announced her retirement through a blog update, revealing her decision made six months prior. Post-retirement, she expressed plans to pursue studies in creative production. Following her AV retirement, she briefly hosted the internet TV show "Pako Pako ☆ Ika Night 2," continuing her media presence.
