Lee Sung Yeol is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor and member of INFINITE (인피니트). He graduated from Seowon High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Applied Musicology and a bachelor's degree in Theater from Hoseo University. He is the older brother of GOLDEN CHILD's Lee Dae Yeol; both brothers have dyslexia as the condition runs in the family.

He made his debut in June 2010 as the group's vocalist and lead rapper with their first EP, "First Invasion". In 2012, the single "The Chaser" was named Billboard's third-best K-pop song of the 2010s decade and was included in Rolling Stone's list of 75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time in 2020. The band was managed by Woollim Entertainment (울림엔터테인먼트).

He made his acting debut in 2011 with a role in the SBS drama "While You Were Sleeping" (당신이 잠든 사이).

He enlisted for his mandatory military service on March 26, 2019, and was discharged on October 27, 2020. After being released, he continued to do various musicals and promoting as a solo artist and as part of INFINITE.

He left Woollim Entertainment in March 2021 but remained part of the group and later signed with Management 2SANG.

In May 2023, it was reported that INFINITE established its own agency, Infinite Company (인피니트 컴퍼니), with Kim Sung Kyu as the company representative. The agency handles all promotional activities for the group while each member remains in their own agency for individual activities. A few days later, Woollim Entertainment CEO Lee Jung Yeop transferred the trademark rights for the name INFINITE over to the group so they could continue their activities without changing their group name.
